Cerulean City has four entries: Route 4 from the West, Route 24 from the North, Route 9 from the East, and Route 5 to the South.

This city contains Cerulean City's Gym, with Misty as its leader.

The path south will be blocked by a police officer until the player claims the Cascade Badge.

Trivia

If the player has completed the trade in one of the Pokémon Centers in Viridian City, Pewter City, Vermillion City or Celadon City, there will be a trainer in the Cerulean Pokémon Center who wants to trade the Kanto starter whose type the player's starter is strong against for a Pokémon with the same type the player started with. For example, if the player started with Charmander, he will offer a Bulbasaur for any Fire-Type Pokémon.
