Mt. Silver Base Summit is the peak of Mt. Silver.

After dealing with the Space-Time distortions caused by the Palkia/Dialga/Giratina Triple Fusion, a vortex will appear, taking the player a few years into the future to have a fight with Gold, as throwback to the fight they had in Pokémon Gold & Silver.

After defeating Gold, the player will be transported back into their own time, but in their room in Pallet Town, where their Mom will give a Shiny Stone.

This fight is the opposite from Pokémon Gold and Silver where Gold defeats Red on Mt. Silver Summit to take the title as Pokémon Champion of both Johto and Kanto regions.
