Route 16 is a route that connects Celadon City to Route 17, as well as allows the player to access the Hidden Forest.

There is also a slumbering Snorlax blocking access to Route 17.

	HM02 Fly	Given to the player by the old man.
	Casteliacone (x5 or x10)	Given by Bianca in the upper floor of the gate to Route 17. If the player is wearing Bianca's hat she will give 10, otherwise she gives 5.
